Hidden away in the heart of historic St James’s in London, Spencer House is an exquisite events venue boasting magnificent neoclassical interiors and a panoramic view out to Green Park from the private terrace. Our guests have exclusive use of the suite of eight State Rooms, which can be configured to suit a variety of occasions.
During the summer months, guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the terrace overlooking the rewilded garden humming with life; in colder weather, the warmth and splendour of the elegant rooms provide a welcoming retreat.
Our exceptional, long-standing staff, exclusively recruited and trained in-house, uphold our commitment to excellence, evident in our high staff-to-guest ratio. Complementing this, our esteemed team of chefs curate delicious dishes, crafted from the finest, locally-sourced ingredients.
An inspiring venue for collaboration and celebration
Whether you are looking to host a large celebration or an intimate meeting, we provide an expert service crafted to meet the specific requirements of your corporate event. We can host up to 450 guests for cocktail receptions and offer an array of culinary options, including canapes, bowl food, food stations or formal seated dining.
Should you wish to stage a presentation, a meeting or a product launch, we can arrange all of the necessary AV facilities and can suggest a number of innovative ways to include branded or themed communications within the space.
Hosting & Capacity Details
- We can hold receptions for up to 450 people.
- We can seat 120 for dinner – up to 84 people in the Great Room and up to 36 people in Lady Spencer’s Room which adjoins the Great Room.
- We can seat up to 100 people theatre style.
- We are licensed for wedding ceremonies for up to 90 people.
Please note that we only work on exclusive use so each event has use of all eight Fine Rooms, plus the Terrace in May, June, July and September.
We are closed during August for cleaning and maintenance.
